Governor Bagudu has directed for the improvement of welfare and training of teachers while unqualified teachers would be assisted by government to attain requisite qualification.

The Governor lauded teachers particularly primary school teachers describing them as cradle of education.

He made the statement while on a visit to one of the Model Primary Schools in Birnin Kebbi to monitor the ongoing workshop for primary school teachers under the “Teaching at the Right Level, TaRL”

Bagudu was delighted with the dedication of the teachers and their efforts to impart sound knowledge to pupils saying that government has accorded importance to education.

Also he expressed happiness that Kebbi state has taken the first position to return out of school children back to the classroom under the Better Education Service Delivery for All, BESDA.

According to him more than fifteen thousand facilitators have been engaged by the government to teach in Qur’anic and Almajiri Schools in furtherance of integrating such schools into the formal education system.
