Government of Kebbi State has directed the reopening of schools across the state.
It comes after almost two months of closure following November’s abduction of young female students from the Government Comprehensive Girls Secondary School Maga by terrorists.
The directive says all primary and junior secondary schools across the state should open with effect from Monday, January 5, 2026.

All school administrators, teachers, parents, students, and education secretaries have been directed to ensure compliance and make adequate preparations to ensure a smooth resumption of academic activities, while parents and guardians are advised to ensure that their children and wards resume school promptly.
