Cross River State Police Command has confirmed the release of the Redeemed Christian Church of God pastor, Adeniran Sunday and a female teacher who were abducted on Saturday by unknown gunnmen along ikot-Eneobong Area of Calaabar.
It is however not clear if ransom was paid before their release.

Pastor Adeniran and the Teacher regained their freedom monday following the intense manhunt by the police anti kidnap squad led by SP Abdulhameed Awodi who according to the police have been combing the area since Sunday morning.
Confirming the release, Cross River State Police Public Relations Officer,Irene Ugbo said they were found in a forest around Nasarawa, Bakoko area.
