The abducted Catholic priest of St.Monica parish in Ikulu Fari, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Reverend Father Joseph Shekari has regained his freedom in the early hours of Tuesday after spending 48 hours with his Abductors.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Chancellor of the Catholic dioceses of Kafanchan Rev. Father Emmanuel Okoli.
It could be recalled that the abductors killed the cook of the priest and carted away 2 million naira cash realized from thanksgiving in the church on Sunday.
The diocese did not however disclose whether a ransom was paid or not for the release of the cleric.
