A reporter with the Nigeria Television Authority, NTA, Jos Network Centre Abdulwahab Babankanti, and three others who were kidnapped on Monday have regained their freedom.
Spokesman for the Plateau State Police Command DSP Alabo Alfred who confirmed their release on Thursday in Jos said they were released on Wednesday night.
Babankanti, alongside three of his friends, were abducted along Jos- Toro road, on their way back from Bauchi with a 10 Million Naira ransom placed for their release.

A staff of the NTA Jos Network Centre who pleaded anonymity also confirmed the development to ait.live and said the journalist has been reunited with his family.
He however declined to mention how much was paid to the abductors to secure his release.
