Governor Abubakar Bello said the Kidnapping and Cattle Rustling Special Provisions Law (2016) as amended also provided that informants who aid kidnappers will now have to face death by hanging in public, as enshrined in the state’s new law.
The Governor expressed dismay about the activities and the roles of informants, which have created setbacks for security agencies in the fight against insurgents across the state.
