Seven months after Faith Ojemire, a final year student of the nursing department in Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo state was allegedly abducted at her school gate and the arrest of some suspects, she is yet to regain her freedom.

Her family members and Edo state students in tertiary institutions in Nigeria are calling on the inspector general of police and other concerned citizens to wade into the matter for the suspects to help unravel the circumstances that led to her disappearance and how she can be found.

It was an expression of pain and sadness on the faces of the family of Faith Ojemire when Edo state students in Nigeria’s tertiary institutions visited their residence at Iguomo community in Uhunmwonde community of Edo state.
According to Thomas Ojemire, father of the missing student, the incident that led to their present predicament started on the 8th of December 2019 after he received a call from her daughter’s abductors on her phone line demanding a Ransom and later reduced to one million naira after negotiation.
But seven months after paying five hundred thousand naira, into an account provided by the kidnappers, the family says Faith was yet to be released even after police confirmed the arrest of some suspects in connection with her abduction.

The leadership of Edo state students in Nigeria’s tertiary institution say they are concerned about the whereabouts of Faith and the police on their part says investigation on the matter is still ongoing.

The Ojemires are appealing to concerned citizens of Nigeria to help in unravelling the disappearance of their daughter.
