A suspect involved in the killing of Glory Adekolure, a graduating student of the University of Benin, UNIBEN student has been arrested by police operatives at the Edo state command fifteen days after she was gruesomely murdered.
Confirming the arrest of one of the suspects to AIT’S Osikhuemwen SADOH via telephone,the Commissioner of police Funsho Adegboye says the suspected murderer was arrested in Delta State on Thursday after painstaking investigations by operatives of the command.
According to the Edo police boss, twenty two year old Glory Adekolure was attacked, raped and murdered by unknown persons in Iyowa community near Benin city on the fourteenth of June 2024 when she was returning home from school on Friday fourteenth of June 2034 after submitting her project work.
Speaking on a telephone chat with AIT’s Reporter, Adegboye says the suspect an indigene of Akwa Ibom is in custody and had confessed to the killing of Glory and that others were was arrested in Ibusa near Asaba in Delta state.
The police boss while assuring justice for the victim used the opportunity to advise parents and guardians on the need to keep watch on their children and unknown persons in the neighborhood.
