Member representing Lokoja 2 consistency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Umar Aliyu has emerged Speaker of the 8th Assembly.
Umar Aliyu who is a first time lawmaker, emerged unopposed on the floor of the house shortly after the proclamation of the 8th Assembly by the Clerk, Chogudo Ahmed, who announced the absence of the Governor.
