Kogi Development: NLC, TUC leadership holds maiden meeting with governor Ododo

The kogi state governor, Usman Ododo, says his administration is working with the leadership of the organized labour in the state to ensure that civil servants and every kogi citizen enjoy the dividends of democracy.

The governor who said this during his maiden meeting with the leadership of the NLC and TUC at the government house in lokoja on Friday, commended the organised labour in kogi state for its maturity in handling the issues of palliative and the wage awards.

It is the first official meeting between the Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo and the leadership of the organized labour since his assumption of office on 27th January, 2024.

The organized labour consists of the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, (NLC) and the trade Union Congress, (TUC).

Governor Usman ODODO appreciated the leadership of the organized labour in Kogi State for the high level of understanding it has shown so far in matters affecting the public workers.

Governor ododo suggested monthly and quarterly meetings between the State Government and the labour unions to discuss the welfare of civil servants and determine ways to meet their demands.

The leadership of the organized labour in the state commended the
Governor’s leadership style since assuming office and assured him of the readiness of labour to deepen relations with the kogi Government with a view to ensuring that Kogi people get the best from his administration.

They also promised to mobilize public workers in the state to support the ododo administration to enable it deliver on the dividends of democracy to the people of the State.
