Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has commended the prudent use of financial resources by the Salisu Usman led administration at the State Polytechnic, shown in massive infrastructure turnaround in the institution.
Yahaya Bello who gave the commendation during the inspection of projects at the State Polytechnic Lokoja, also volunteered to proffer solutions to ending incessant strike to any state governor that is willing to know why Kogi state’s tertiary institutions have uninterrupted academic calendar.
Governor Yahaya Bello was received by a large number of cheering students of Kogi State Polytechnic who are beneficiaries of his intervention in the institution, as he visits the polytechnic to inspect projects initiated by the Salisu Usman led administration.
Yahaya Bello expressed satisfaction with the job well done and extoled the qualities of the Rector, for being prudent.
“For a Chief Executive whose tertiary institutions have not gone on industrial action in the past five years, the secret of how he did it is exclusive to him”.
For the Rector Salisu Usman, these infrastructural developments, employment of academic staff and other initiatives, were responsible for the one hundred percent accreditation result it scored in the recent accreditation exercise.
