Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has commended the Federal Government’s efforts at cushioning the effect of fuel subsidy removal on Nigerians through the distribution of palliatives.
Governor Bello who said this during the commencement of the distribution of the Federal Government palliatives in the state assured the people that the items will reach all the intended beneficiaries regardless of political, religious or ethnic affiliations.
The governor also warned against favoritism in the distribution process or hoarding of the palliatives and called on security agencies to ensure a peaceful and smooth exercise.

He said the state government has decentralized the distribution process to ensure that every household benefits,
Governor Bello also disclosed that his administration has declared free primary and secondary school education in the state and will take care of examination fees for WAEC, NECO, and JAMB for all indigenes of Kogi State as part of measures to alleviate the hardship
Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Asiwaju Asiru, commended the governor for his commitment to complementing the efforts of the federal government in prioritizing the welfare of the people.
