A former chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Jibril Usman and Candidate of the Accord party in the November governorship election in Kogi state, wants the federal government to prevail on the Independent National Electoral Commission to be professional in the discharge of its duties ahead of the governorship election.
The former Naval chief said this at his official unveiling as candidate of the Accord Party for the governorship election, assuring that tackling insecurity and job creation are critical areas of focus when elected.
The Independent National Electoral Commission on 14th of June officially lifted the ban on campaign for political activities and members of the accord party are gathered here in Anyigba where the former chief of naval staff, Vice Admiral Jibrin Usman and his deputy, Raphael Olanife were publicly unveiled and presented with the party’s flag.
Akpabana, which means thunder as he is fondly called, says he came prepared to win the election but wants the federal government to get INEC to carry out its responsibilities without bias.
