All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA

Ahead of the commencement of campaign activities for the Governorship election in Kogi state, the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Idoko Ilona has appealed to his co-contestants to embark on an issue-based campaign devoid of violence or character assassination.

Idoko, who made the appeal after meeting with some key political players in the state, called on the youths to reject any politician recruiting them to cause violence before, during, and after the election.

According to the election timetable released by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, campaign activities for Kogi, Imo and Bayelsa states will start on fourteen June 2023.

Idoko Ilona who is contesting on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, is consulting across party lines, and after visiting key players of the PDP in Kogi East, he is hopeful of emerging winner at the November polls but wants other candidates to be issued based in their campaigns.

The fertile vegetation in Kogi state, its mineral deposits, and other economic potentials are some of Idoko’s areas of interest to boost the state’s revenue profile if elected.

It is the view of the APGA candidate that the Independent National Electoral Commission should provide a level playing ground for all candidates and as well ensure that the lapses experienced in the use of BVAS in the just concluded elections are addressed.
