The Hunters’ Group of Nigeria, Kogi state chapter has endorsed the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Usman Ahmed Ododo

The group claimed that continuity in government will sustain the gains made in the area of security under the Yahaya Bello administration.

The commander of the group, Audu Pius, who said this in the state capital Lokoja, explained that under the Yahaya Bello administration, the hunter’s association has worked closely with the Local Government Administration to play critical role in the security architecture of the state.

Giving further justification for the endorsement, the commander said the hunters association decided to identify with the APC and its Governshhip candidate because of the landmark achievements of Governor Yahaya Bello in the last eight years.

Governor Yahaya Bello thanked the Hunters’ Group for their efforts in collaboration with other interest groups, including contemporary security agencies to achieve results in the area of security in the state.

Governor Bello added that the Hunters Group’s endorsement was a great addition to the impending victory of the party and described their intention to eschew ethnic agenda and pitch tent with Kogi Agenda as a hallmark of their interest in the growth of the state.

He further explained that proponents of the ethnic Agenda were only interested in ensuring that the people of the state are denied the opportunity to benefit from the resources of the own state.
