Suspected armed political thugs have allegedly abducted five witnesses scheduled to testify for the opposition Action Alliance in the ongoing Kogi State Governorship election petition tribunal case on Monday.

The alleged abductees were said to be witnesses in the petition filed by the candidate of the Action Alliance, Olayinka Braihmoh in the November 11th, 2023 off-cycle election, Olayinka Braihmoh.

The witnesses were said to have been abducted at the premises of the National Judicial Institute in Abuja, where the Kogi State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal is sitting.

The Action Alliance Governorship candidate told ait.live that the abductees were allegedly molested, with their family members similarly threatened, for daring to testifying regarding electoral malpractices during the election in 2023.
