Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has said his administration remains committed to flushing out criminally minded persons from the confluence State.
Governor Ododo gave the assurance during the commissioning of a new office complex for the Quick Response Unit of the Nigeria Police Force, Kogi State Command built by the State Government.
The Governor said one of his top priorities is to eradicate crime and ensure a secure environment for citizens across the State.
Governor Ododo explained that the Quick Response unit is a proactive step to enhance security and to build upon the solid foundation of the state’s security architecture.
The Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Bethrand Onuoha and the Security Adviser to the Governor, retired Commodore Jerry Omodara both emphasized the need for the citizens to maintain the peaceful society, in order to attract development to the State.
Governor Ododo took time to commend the dedication and sacrifices of security agencies in the State and pledged to continue to prioritize technology to enhance intelligence-gathering and in combating emerging security threats.
