The commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps in Kogi State, Suleim Godan Mafara says the Rapid Response Squad of the NSCDC has been trained to handle a variety of issues with focus on the welfare, security and safety of residents of the state.
Mafara who just resumed as the new state commandant told ait.live in Lokoja that, he would engage in wide consultations with residents of the state to elicit useful information that would help the civil defence do its job effectively.
Suleiman Mafara who assured Kogi residents of consolidating on the gains made by his predecessor, Samuel Maigari who is now in charge of the Federal Capital Territory Command, inaugurated the rapid Response Squad seven days after his assumption of duty as Kogi state commandant.
Mafara said beyond security, the rapid Response Squad has received a variety of trainings that will make them more civil and combatant

For a state which has crime-fighting as one of its major focal point, the new security chief said he will be interfacing periodically with residents for information that will make his job easy
Mafara who is already paying working visits to other security and paramilitary organizations in the state urged criminals to quickly relocate from Kogi State.
Security agencies in Kogi state have formed a strong collaborative bond among themselves with proper coordinated vigilante and hunters group across the state with which they timely prevent and arrest breach of security, with the governor, Yahaya Bello in most cases, leading their operations.
