Key players of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Kogi State, have called on the party to commence the process of expelling the Senator Representing Kogi West at the National Assembly, Smart Adeyemi, from the party, over uncomplimentary comments about the party.

At a media briefing in Lokoja, the Ijumu APC like-minds described it as a “falsehood” statement being spread by Senator Smart Adeyemi, over the recently held governorship primary election in the state.

Senator Smart Adeyemi 2019 had Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello support him to emerge Senator for Kogi West for the third time against Dino Melayi.

Smart Adeyemi’s kinsmen from Ijumu Local Government want the public not to take him seriously, accusing him of always paying his benefactors with evil.

The group said Smart’s failure at last Friday’s primary election was a reward for his poor performance at the senate.

The group wants an expulsion process initiated against him for faulting the party’s fairest primaries ever conducted in the state.

Efforts to get a response from Senator Smart Adeyemi have not yielded a positive response, as he was not responding to calls put across to him.
