Kogi Security: IGP Reaffirms Commitment To Dislodge Criminal Elements Terrorising Innocent Citizens

The inspector general of Police Kayode Egbetokun has again reiterated his resolve to dislodge criminal elements terrorizing the peace of Kogi State from their hideout.

Egbetokun, who was represented by the Commissioner of Police Miller Dantawaye stated this at the commissioning ceremony of Imane divisional Police station in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Imane community shares border with Benue and Enugu States. Reports over the years show that suspected herders have continued to infiltrate the community, causing the people to live in fear and agony.

The establishment of a divisional police station in Imane, Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State, has been described as a welcome development.

The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, seized the opportunity to address some key security issues affecting the state through the Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Miller Dantawaye.

While noting that the commissioning of this divisional police station marks a significant milestone in a collective pursuit of safety, security, and justice, he charged police officers to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and service in the discharge of their duties.

With the successful opening of this divisional police station in Imane, officers were reminded that it is their duty not to rest on their oars in making Kogi a crime-free state.
