Some stakeholders in Kogi State say the rising wave of attacks across the country by suspected bandits need to be urgently addressed lest the country will be thrown into a full-blown national food crisis.
At a forum in lokoja the kogi state capital, the stakeholders noted that the recent attacks on communities in Benue and other parts of Nigeria were “totally uncalled for,” saying those behind the violence are enemies of the state who are determined to destabilize the nation.
They also noted that the rising food insecurity worsened by the widespread insecurity across the country is already taking a serious toll on citizens.
