Kogi state governor signs 2021 budget of #130.5b into law

Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello, has signed the 2021 budget of #130.5b into law.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Yahaya Bello said his administration will continue to focus on people-oriented programmes that will have a direct impact on livelihoods.

The governor who appreciated the lawmakers for their consideration and timely passage, sued for unity among all organs of government.

Yahaya Bello said the executive will ensure proper implementation of the budget, stressing that the socio-economic welfare of the citizens remains his priority.

The governor said he will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the revenue generation profile of the state increases, adding that it would not lockdown the economy in the cause of the second wave of covid 19.

The 2021 budget factored in damages caused to medical and agricultural wares destroyed by hoodlums in the wake of #Endsars protest in the state.
