Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo

Kogi state Governor, Usman Ododo has approved the immediate employment of thousands of local hunters across the 21 Local Government Areas of the state with the immediate task of going after criminal elements and taking the fight to their camps and hideouts.

A statement by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo and made available to journalists in lokoja on Saturday condemned the torrent of criminality waged against the people of kogi state in the last one month.

The statement also noted that the Joint Forces of the Army, Police, DSS, NSCDC, Metropolitan Response Squad and Hunters Group are currently carrying out simultaneous operations in Lokoja as well as across the three Senatorial Districts, including the border communities to check the rising crime in the state.

The Commissioner for Information and Communications explained that
Governor Usman Ododo has silently declared war on criminals in the state and deploying resources and forces to ensure the enemies of kogi people are defeated.

Kingsley Fanwo, therefore appealed to the citizens to always volunteer intelligence to security agencies for effective security of kogi State.

In the statement, Governor Usman ODODO expressed gratitude to the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support and encouragement to make Kogi state crime free and assure the people of the state that his administration is working hard to protect everyone and make the state unattractive to criminals and their trade.
