The People’s Democratic Party PDP, and the All Progressives Congress, APC equally split the ten councillorship seats contested in the Kwali Area Council in saturday’s election.
In the result released by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, the PDP won Pai, Kundu, Dafa, Ashara and Yebu wards of Kwali Area Council.
The APC on the other hand won the councillorship seats for Kwali Central, Yangoji, Wako, Gumbo and Kilankwa wards.
The incumbent chairman and candidate of the All Progressives, APC, Danladi Chiya had been declared re-elected after the collation of results.
He polled 7, 646 votes, to NARROWLY defeat the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Haruna Mohammed Pai, who polled 7, 345 votes.
