The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, has generated more than N9billion in one and half years into the federation’s account.
The Comptroller, Kwara Area Command, Comptroller Hussaini Bello, disclosed this while briefing Journalists in Ilorin the Kwara State capital, on the activities of the Command.
He noted that the service was able to rake in the sum of 6.9 billion between January and December 2020 representing 86% of the year annual target as against #2.4 billion in 2019.
Comptroller Ahmed maintained that the outbreak of covid-19 pandemic with lockdown, EndSARS protest, and partial border closure, were the reasons for not meeting the stipulated target in 2020.

He however appealed to well-meaning members of the public, who are ready to engage in legitimate business, to come forward for clarification or visit their headquarters for details.
Other seizures recorded by the Command, are 3,551 bags of foreign parboiled rice, 51 used vehicles of various models, 3,543 kilograms of marijuana among others.
