Muslims in Ilorin the Kwara State capital, today joined their counterpart across the globe, to observe the Eid-el-Kabir festival.

In a brief Sallah message, the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Muhammed Bashir, the Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, and a former Senate Président Bukola Saraki, urged Muslims to be submissive to the will of Almighty Allah and to promote peace and unity of the Nation.

Some of the worshippers said that the festival was worth celebrating because there was no such gathering last year as a result of the covid-19 lockdown.

Shortly after the symbolic slaughtering of a ram on the prayer ground, the environment turned rowdy as the supporters of prominent politicians’ began praise-singing of their masters.
