Properties and goods worth several millions of naira have been destroyed after a fire outbreak razed down about 30 shops at the Oro Central Market in the Irepodun local government area of Kwara State on Tuesday night.
Some of the traders say they have lost all their source of livelihood.

On Wednesday morning after the fire incident in Oro market, the traders who fell victim to the fore have been counting their losses, estimated to be in millions of naira.

Speaking to AIT.live, many of them were at a loss on where to start from. Their only plea is for the State Government to come to their assistance.
Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq while inspecting the scene of the fire also commiserates with the victims promising that the state Emergency Management Agency has been directed to take accurate data of the victims and extent of damage to determine government’s intervention.
Oro in Irepodun local government area is the Country home of Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Muhammed.
