The Kwara State Police Command has confirmed the murder of chairman, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Kwara State, Idris Abubakar who was shot dead on 8th March 2025 at the entrance of his residence in Oke-Ose, Oke-Oyi, Kwara State.
This is contained in a press statement made available to Journalists in Ilorin the Kwara State capital by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP. Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi.

According to the statement, the Police detectives responded swiftly and recovered five expended 7.62mm shells, while the remains of the deceased have been deposited at UITH Morgue.
The Statement further disloclosed that the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) has commenced investigation with assurance from CP Victor Olaiya that the perpetrators will be brought to justice and urges the public to remain calm and provide useful information.
