Residents of Ilorin, the kwara State capital have kicked against the recent hike in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and electricity tariffs in the country, describing it as failure on the path of the present administration as it has disappointed Nigerians.
Some of the residents who spoke to AIT said that the hike was a clear reflection of how insensitive and distant the government has become to the pains of the people.
The residents called on other citizens to reject the hike in the price of petroleum; pointing out that the burden of it was simply unbearable.

The residents said they have lost confidence in the entire democratic structure; stressing that both the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) have woefully failed the people.
The Federal Government recently increased the pump price of PMS from N148 to N160 per litre; the third increase in three months which is now raising concern among Nigerians.
