The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC and the Trade union Congress, TUC have remained adamant to the fresh court order obtained by the Federal Government to stop Monday’s nationwide strike and mass protest.
The two labour centres which make up organised labour had said on Thursday that they were not aware of an earlier restraining order by the National Industrial Court of Nigeria obtained by the some civil society groups.

While ait.live tries to get the labour leaders to react to the fresh court order, it has been gathered that the Federal Government could not serve the order on either NLC or TUC and has therefore resorted to publishing it in the media even without an order for substituted service.
Despite the court orders, organised labour has continued to mobilise towards getting the Federal Government to reverse the recent hike in electricity tarrif and petrol pump price.
