Abia State Governor and Labour Party leader, Alex Otti, says the party is not considering any coalition with other political parties.
Governor Otti spoke to journalists after a meeting with the Labour Party’s National Working Committee, urging members of the Julius Abure faction to set aside their differences and return to the party.
The meeting was the first by the party’s national leadership since a court ruling recognised Senator Nenadi Usman as interim national chairperson—a decision already acknowledged by INEC.
The party also wished its former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, well as he moves on politically.
Governor Otti, however, expressed disappointment over the Labour Party’s exclusion from the FCT Area Councils elections.
The Labour Party crisis began after disagreements over the controversial Nnewi convention, leading to a split within the party.
