The Federal Government has Concluded Plans to Construct a 470 kilometres Concrete greenfield Super highway
from Lagos To Abuja that will reduce the travel time in four years
The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi who made this known after a meeting with the Private sector Operators in Lagos says the construction would be executed under Public-Private Partnership, PPP, arrangement.
The project he added would last one hundred years, a move targeted to enable investors recoup their investment.
The Minister who said the project will comprise a two-carriage way of about 14 metres wide open noted that the Contractor handling the project is expected to be on site in the next three months to start work.

Umahi noted that from Lagos, the road will pass through eight states in the Southwest and Northcentral before it gets to Abuja.
The Minister added that Government plans to make the road a business and industrial corridor with hotels, factories, and housing estates, among others on the route.
