Lagos Assembly

Lagos State House of Assembly has described as malicious and unfounded reports making the rounds on social media that it has secretly passed a sharia law in a deal to get Northern support for the APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu,

A statement signed by the House Committee Chairman on Information, Security and Strategy Setonji David described the allegation as a mere figment of the writer’s imagination and far from the reality.

The statement noted that the assembly would not pass a law without subjecting it to public hearing in the state describing the peddlers of the report as illiterate and uninformed people who needed to be schooled about law making process.

It added that APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu does not need any law from the state to further endear him to all Nigerians.
