The Lagos State government says investigation is still ongoing to unravel more details about the unfortunate accident that happened in the early hours of Thursday 9th of March when a train ran into a BRT BUS conveying Lagos State government workers to work at the PWD Sogunle area of the state.
While updating Journalists on the situation on Friday, the commissioner for Health Professor Akin Abayomi said another seventeen Victims were brought to the hospital on Thursday who were probably Passersby also affected by the accident bringing the total number of Persons affected to 102.

Professor Abayomi disclosed that Over twenty victims of the train accident have been discharged from the Lagos State University Teaching hospital, LASUTH, The Accident and Emergency Centre at Lagos Ibadan toll gate Orile Agege General Hospital, and Gbagada General Hospital.
To support the emergency response, the Lagos State government had yesterday called on Lagos residents who will like to donate blood to come forward and restock the blood bank at LASUTH.
Professor Abayomi thanked the Emergency response team for doing a good job.
