Minister of Works , Dave Umahi has assured Nigerians that construction work on sections 3A in Cross Rivers State and 3B in Akwa Ibom state on the ongoing multi-billion naira Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project will be flagged off before the middle of December this year.
Umahi made this known when he led members of the Joint Committee on Works from the National Assembly on tour to the various ongoing federal projects in Lagos State, South-West Nigeria.

He explained that the Federal Ministry of Works had to redesign its initial project at section 3A and 3B to by-pass areas controlled by militants which came with additional cost due to the difficult terrains along the new axis.
