The Minister of works, Dave umahi says 18 billion naira has so far been paid as compensation from its initial 8 billion naira earmarked for Persons whose buildings were located on the right of Way of the ongoing multi- billion naira Lagos- Calabar Coastal Highway project.
Umahi who made this public during the stakeholders meeting for section one of the 700km Highway project which took place in Lagos sunday, however stressed that there is no going back on the diversion at km 15 despite the petitions raised in some quarters, including some affected members of Okun Ajar community who trooped to the meeting in their numbers.
