The removal of the Executive Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFFC), Abdurasheed Bawa from office by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over allegations of corruption has been described by a coalition of over 150 civil society groups in Lagos as a welcome development.
The anti-corruption advocates who converged on Ikeja, Thursday barely twenty-four hours after the embattled anti graft agency chairman was suspended said the latest move would send the right signals about the renewed efforts of President Bola Tinubu to tackle corruption head-on, a move to restore public confidence.
