A Kano State-bound train from Lagos has derailed within Jebba area in Niger state, North-central Nigeria this Saturday, with no record of casualty.

The Managing Director, Nigerian Railway Corporation, Fidet Okhiria confirmed the incident in a phone conversation with ait.live following the emergence of a video showing the fallen coaches and damaged rail tracks. He, however, said only the luggage vans at the rear were involved in the mishap.

Okhiria added that other parts of the train conveying passengers continued the journey after the mishap.
