Workers of Lagos State Broadcasting Corporation, including Lagos Television, Radio Lagos/Eko FM and Lagos Traffic Radio, staged a protest demanding immediate payment of their minimum wage.
The angry workers bearing placards with various inscriptions took strategic positions in front of the gate to the State Secretariat, chanting solidarity songs.
The protesters are also asking to be integrated into the Oracle Database.
The chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress, Lagos state chapter, Agnes Sessi, who joined the protest, said being paid the new minimum wage is their right and not a privilege.
The protest by the workers is part of their 3-day warning strike, which is expected to send the right message to the authorities to do the needful.
