Suspected Lakurawa terrorists have invaded a construction site at Gumki village, in Arewa LGA of Kebbi State on the border between Nigeria and Niger Republic.
The invasion led to attack on staff of Airtel Communications Nigeria Limited who were installing a surveillance mask for the Nigeria Immigration Service. As a result, four people lost their lives, including an indigene and three staff of the company.
Commissioner of Police, CP in Kebbi State, Bello Sani along with the State Comptroller of Nigeria Immigration Service, Muhammad Bashir Lawali, swiftly mobilised to the scene, and evacuated the corpses to Sir Yahaya Memorial Hospital in Birnin Kebbi.

CP Sani equally reviewed the security architecture of the area, by deploying additional tactical teams and charged them to decisively deal with suspected Lakurawa bandits operating in the area.
He also had a meeting with critical stakeholders in the area, where he appealed to them to always assist the Police and other security agencies with relevant and timely information for prompt response.
