Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has presented a budget of over one hundred and six billion naira to the State assembly for the year 2022.
Lalong says the state Government arrived at the figure after due consultation with stakeholders
The budget which is in deficit of about twenty billion naira will be sourced from the federal government and domestic banks.
He noted that the state government is burdened by the growing debt profile hence it’s decision to cut down the budget proposal.
The governor appealed to the lawmakers for a speedy passage of the budget.

The speaker Nuhu Abok assured of a quick passage but warned that the house would not condone ineptitude from accounting officers in the discharge of their responsibility
With the budget tagged economic recovery, Plateau citizens are watching and hoping for better days ahead
