Land Grabbing: Mararaba Community Appeals For Government Intervention

Residents of Mararaba, in Nasarawa State have again appealed to Governor Abdullahi Sule to as a matter of urgency curb the activities of alleged land grabbers intimidating innocent people in the community, especially around the popular orange market area.

The residents made the appeal on Monday describing the growing cases of litigations in the land disputes in the area as a strategy used by the alleged grabbers to intimidate innocent people in the area

At the Airforce Barracks Community off orange market in Mararaba Nasarawa state, residents want Government’s intervention to address the activities of alleged land grabbers in the area.

A legal practitioner, Usman Dibal, said the activities of land grabbers in Mararaba, especially at the Airforce barracks and new Jerusalem community, has been on the increase hence the need for government’s intervention.

The residents of Mararaba, a border community between Nasarawa state and the federal capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, said they have sent an SOS to Governor Abdulahi Sule to save them from the activities of land grabbers intimidating innocent people in the Community on a daily basis.
