Landmine Kills 4 NSCDC Officers in Shiroro

Four officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) have been killed after they stepped on a landmine in Galadiman Kogo in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.

The Corps in a statement by Director Public Relations Headquarters Abuja DCC Odumosu Olusola explained that the deceased were among the officers and men attached to Shiroro Hydro Power Station, Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.

The statement added that the patrol vehicle had stepped on a buried land mine which immediately killed all 4 occupants.

The statement further explained that the driver of the vehicle sustained injuries and is in a critical condition.

The dead personnel are ASC I Muhammad Ibrahim, ASC II Cheche Ahmad, IC Yunusa Mahman Abdullahi and CAI Bala Abdullahi.

The Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Ahmad Audi commiserated with the families of the deceased officers and men that paid the supreme price in service to the nation.

Audi reassured residents of Niger State of the Corps’ resolve and commitment to ensure protection of their lives and property.
