A 40-feet containerised truck loaded with fabric in the early hours of Saturday had a brake failure while moving inward Berger and then collided with a tanker loaded with 33,000 liters of premium motor spirit, PMS, popularly known as petrol.
The impact of the collision resulted in a fire outbreak which led to the deployment of first responders from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA; Lagos State Fire Service, and the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC.

No casualty was recorded but the fire affected the 40-feet containerised truck and the high tension wire in the area.
LASEMA Executive Director, Olufemi Oke- Osanyitolu says the agency promptly responded to the fire outbreak after several distress calls it received from its control room.
He advised commuters to take the Ojota or 7UP exits until the backlog of traffic eases. Meanwhile, damping down at the scene has been concluded.
