Voters in Kaduna State have described the late arrival of electoral materials and malfunctioning of Electronic Voting Machines in the Saturday council election as a way of disenfranchising them.
Some voters who spoke to ait.live said they doubt the credibility of the process of the election.
According to the election timetable, the council election was to start at 8 am and end at 4 pm.
When ait.live visited some polling units across Kaduna, there was no sight of the election in progress.
And in some polling units where election materials arrived late, the electronic voting machines did not function as expected.

There was also a low turnout of voters in most of the polling units.
