The Body of Benchers in Nigeria which is the highest body in the nation’s legal profession has expressed concern over the state of affairs in the nation’s legal profession, and the need for overhaul to enable it retain its noble status.
Former chairman of the body, justice Bode Rhodes- Vivour, said this in Abuja after he handed over the affairs of the bench to a senior member of the bar, Wole Olanipekun.
Legal educators worldwide are exploring new and efficient ways to provide legal education that is better aligned with modern realities of the market place.

That is why the body of benchers in Nigeria has come out to lend their voice on how best to achieve organizational goals.

The fiftieth Chairman of the body and former president of the Nigerian Bar Association, Wole Olanipekun, who is having Justice Mary Peter Odili as the group’s Vice Chairman said there should be sanitization of the profession in Nigeria.
The Body comprises of the serving Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justices of the Supreme Court, the President of the Court of Appeal, Presiding Justices of the Court of Appeal, Attorneys General, Senior Advocates and among other distinguished legal practitioners as members.
