Local Government Administrators in North-East Nigeria have recommended the introduction of community policing to combat insecurity in the sub-region
The call was made at a two-day conference, organised by the North East Development Commission.

The facilitators were drawn from the academia, the police, and the independent Corrupt Practices Commission, (ICPC), to present papers during the meeting, centred on the role of grassroots stakeholders, in combating insurgency and exploring initiatives for enhancing grassroots development.
