The Local Goverment Chairmen in Keffi and Akwanga Muhammad Baba and Emmanuel Joseph has directed the immediate reversal of the price of pure water to its initial Ten Naira per sachet.
They gave the directive during an expanded extraordinary emmergency meeting with the package water producers in their various Council areas.
According to them, the decision on the 100% percent increment was purely in the best interest of the production factories without putting the prospective customers in consideration; neither in consultation with the council relevant authorities.
While announcing the formation of a technical committee that would work on the differences, Mohammed Bala also directed that the association should submit three members to be part of the committee.

He warned that failure to comply with the directive of the Council will attract severe sanction on the defaulting business premise.
Earlier, the secretary of the package water association, Keffi local government area, Pastor Daniel Okorie, said hike in production material was what propelled their members to take 100% increase in the price of every bag of water; adding that the increment was nationwide.
