Three suspected kidnappers operating around old Oyo National Park Forest in the Kishi Area of Oyo State have been gun down by the men of the Oyo State Joint Security Taskforce and Local Vigilantes.
Speaking with journalists after the operation, Head of Vigilantes in Sooro, Babatunde Williams said three out of the bandits terrorising the area were killed while local vigilantes storm the forest.
Men of the Oyo State Security Task Force also known as operation “burst” in Ibadan were on a routine assignment and combing the forest in Kishi town where old Oyo National Park is located where they encountered the kidnappers.
It was not a pleasant journey for the team as they arrive the large forest which had become an abode for kidnappers and bandits .
Items recovered from the bandits were four AK 47 ruffles, one AK 49 and live amunitions and cash.
