Atalanta’s Europa League final hat-trick hero Ademola Lookman has been nominated for the Europa League Player of the Week award.
UEFA announced Lookman, two of his teammates and a player from beaten Europa League Bayer Leverkusen player for the award.
Ademola Lookman’s nomination was not a surprise following his hat-trick heroics in Atalanta’s 3-0 win against Leverkusen in the Europa League final on Wednesday.

He made history as the first-ever player to score a hat-trick in the Europa League final.
Lookman has also now taken his goal tally in all competitions to 15 this season.
Going into the final against the Bundesliga champions, Lookman had finished as runner-up at the AFCON 2023 and Coppa Italia.
Atalanta have now won their first-ever European title and their first trophy since 1963.
The winner of the Player of the Week will be decided by fans votes.
